The first semester living in Pocatello was great. I learned a lot of new materiel and improved greatly in technique and basically everything else that isn't fun in Ballet. I got three parts in the Nutcracker; Soldier Doll in Party Scene, Nutcracker Doll in Battle Scene and Russian Candy Cane in The Land of the Sweets. Soldier doll was great, the choreography included; pirouettes, double tours, barrel rolls and grande pirouettes for any of you who understand what those steps are. Also, it was a solo so that made it twice as good. Nutcracker doll was stupid except the part where I catch Clara. Russian was as usual, amazing. I even got to skip the Danish dance which is pretty awesome. In all it was a great performance. My parents had a meeting with my Ballet Teachers and they said they might and be sending audition tapes to; The Royal Ballet, American Ballet Theater, San Francisco Ballet, Vienna Ballet and the Paris Ballet. It's kind of scary thinking of living in another country so Pocatello is kind of the main option right now. For me as a Ballet Dancer, you never call yourself good, different people call you good which can kind of be annoying. When you think you're completely screwing up on a step other dancers and your instructors say you're doing it perfectly. That's why you have to be self criticizing of yourself so the step your doing is so good even you're happy with it. When you reach that point the feeling is amazing and it pushes you to do more, that's why ballet is so addicting. No i'm not getting a big head Mom so don't think about saying anything about that.
Here's some photos from the show.

It was delightful to watch you. I am glad you continue to challenge yourself. You are good for a twelve year old, but if you didn't continue to improve, you would be crappy. Think of dancing at this same level at age 18 or 20. Not super great, huh?
And if you go live in Vienna or Paris or Stuttgart, I'm coming with you!
